Spend time with the Father and grow up in Him.

Walk by faith, depending on Him to perform His Word.

It's our privilege to walk by faith.
Colossians 2:
"6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."
God won't force His truth on us. But if we're willing to learn, He will show us how to rightly divide His Word.

2 Timothy 2:15 " Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
When we start to hear and apply the truth of God's Word, it will change our lives.

We start receiving answers to our prayers according to our own faith.
After we've had time to grow spiritually, God usually doesn't move on our behalf with sovereign miracles or manifestations of the Holy Spirit that requires no faith on our part.

He holds us responsible to learn how to believe His Word. He expects us to switch over from the natural realm and begin operating in the faith realm.
Our God is our healer, and He has magnified [made greater] His Word above His own [holy] name.

So according to His Word, we believe healing is ours!
By the order of His own Word, God is a merciful, loving Father who has only good gifts to give.

James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
God is saying He can sovereignly manifest anything promised in His Word through signs, wonders, miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, but He can't sovereignly steal, kill, and destroy.

That's the work of the Devil, John 10:10.
God is the sovereign God of the universe, but He has elevated His Word above His name.

He has limited Himself to His Word.
People have said, "I know what His Word says, but God is still God and He can do anything He wants."

Yes, He could but He won't!

He has bound Himself to His own Words.
Some think God is sovereign, so He can make people sick if He wants and heal them if He wants.

But God gave us His Word, which says He is our healer and promises He would never go outside its boundaries.
Psalm 138:2
"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."
Everything our Father God has is ours.

He has everything we could ever need.

So we are to receive what He has now in Jesus' name.
We must find out in the Word of God what belongs to us, then we are to take hold of it by faith.

Everything He has is ours, it belongs to us!
So often we've wanted God to do something special just for us.

But He expects more out of us as His children.

He didn't say, "the just shall live by the sovereignty of God".

He said, "The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17.
"All that I have is tine."

This is what God says to His children. Often believers ask God why He doesn't work a miracle for them, but He says "Child, you are with Me. Everything I have is yours."

Healing is ours. We are not to wait for him to sovereignly do something for us.

We can come and get it any time we want and receive it by faith!
Because we are children of God, everything He has is ours.

Healing is ours and by faith we can accept it any time.
We are grateful when God performs sovereign miracles in our lives, but we can also depend on Him to perform His Word as we walk by faith.
God performs miracles in two different ways:

By sovereignly initiating a miracle at His own will, OR
initiating a miracle at our will in response to our faith.
Some times God moves in miraculous or unusual ways, but we don't have to wait for that to happen.

We can go to Him any time and receive by faith whatever He's promised in His Word.
God left Himself room to sovereignly intervene in a person's life, like He did with Saul.

We may wonder why He intervened with Saul.

We don't know why but it was good that He did because Saul became Paul who wrote half of the New Testament.
God is the sovereign Creator of the universe, He's the God of heaven and earth.

He can work miracles within the boundaries of His Word any time and any where.

Just think of our own lives when He has given us something we haven't believed for.

Most of us wouldn't be alive this long if He hadn't sovereignly done some things for us along the way.
When God's Word is firmly lodged down in our hearts, we can enter into rest.

God's Word is greater inside us than what we see with our natural eyes.

Then it is so good to be healed!
Hearing produces faith;
faith produces rest and
the rest of faith produces results!
We are to say what God says about us!

"I know I'm healed because the Bible says so. God says healing is mine and I have whatever God says!"
To produce faith we need to:
listen to good teachings on healing,
read good books on healing,
speak the verses on healing,

and act like we are healed,
ALL until faith is strong enough to produce the manifestation of healing.
Belief produces rest and what we hear determines what we believe.

If we see we haven't entered into the rest of faith,
we are not suppose to waste our time feeling condemned, discouraged or upset about it;
we are to realize our belief isn't strong enough yet to produce rest.

What do we do? Go to God's Word!
"For only we who believe God can enter into his place of rest."
Hebrews 4:3 TLB

When we are in a difficult situation and we need a miracle, we must locate what we believe.

Do we believe what God's Word says or what people or circumstances say?
When we need healing in our body, we must put our faith in God and His Word and enter into rest.

We enter into rest by believing God's Word.

We are confident we are healed; for we know our God has already won our victory.
"Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."
Hebrews 4:1,2
Hebrews 4:3 talks about the rest of faith, "For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, . . ."

God isn't talking here about physical or mental rest.

Even when our minds give us fits, a quiet peace is deep down inside.
Everything is looking bad; it sounds and feels bad.

There seems to be no way out. But for some reason we can't work up worry.

People may ask why. We just walk around grinning; everything will be all right!

How do we know? We just know!

That's called 'the rest of faith'!
Lord is my shepherd

Our faith rests in God's Word which is greater than symptoms or circumstances.

We can be of good cheer no matter what we see or how we feel!
Problems of life come to all and there's no denying it.

We put our faith in something bigger, better and higher; God's Word!
Faith doesn't deny symptoms or circumstances.

It doesn't bury its head in the sand and hopes problems go away.

Faith faces problems head on and says, "It may look bad, but I have inside information. I'm coming through this as an overcomer in Jesus Christ!"
Heart faith says, ' I see the problems or symptoms, but no matter what, the Bible is my final authority. It will be as God's Word promises me.'

Heart faith fixes its attention on the Word and always finishes with 'I believe God no matter what it looks or feels like!'
How can we know if we're really in heart faith and not head faith or mental assent?

Head faith says 'I believe the Word, but look at the size of my problem' OR 'I believe I'm healed, but I feel so sick or hurt so bad, OR 'Did you hear what the doctor said?'.

Head faith is "but" faith. . . I believe but!
We must confess from a believing heart that Jesus is our Savior and He is our Healer!

We receive healing now by the stripes of Jesus.
When we receive Jesus as our Healer, we count it done in Jesus' name.

We don't need to check to see if we feel healed. We aren't healed because we feel better.

We are healed because the Bible says so.

If we hold fast to our faith, our healing will come to pass just as it did with salvation. Many times we didn't feel saved but we were.
Healing is simple: God wants us well !!

We know Jesus' body was broken so we can have His health.

So right now we can believe we receive our healing.
We are healed by faith just as we are saved by faith.

When we learn to take advantage of what already belongs to us, we will walk in blessings far beyond what we can ask or think.
Think about it; was it difficult to get saved? No!

We simply found out God loved us, believed in our hearts Jesus was raised from the dead and confessed Him as our Savior.

Healing is received the same way. We find out healing is God's will for us, believe in our hearts we receive our healing and confess Jesus as our Healer.
Some people think it is hard to receive from God, especially getting their healing.

Why would it be hard to obtain something that already belongs to us?

Jesus purchased healing for us with the stripes on His back. We just have to take what's already ours!
God's Word is simple and easy to understand.

He didn't make it complicated because He didn't want anyone left out of His blessings.
"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."
Matthew 9:35
Jesus has already provided all of it for us!

We are redeemed because we have called on the name of the Lord.

We are also healed.

We are peaceful and grateful for all He has done for us.
Because Jesus rose from the dead, our spirits can be born again.

Salvation is the result of accepting the spiritual side of redemption.

Then it is up to us to walk in the soulish and physical sides of His work.
Jesus not only provided salvation for all mankind, He also provided peace of mind and physical healing to anyone who will receive it.

He paid the price for it all!
Jesus died on the cross for every person.

Anyone who believes in Him can freely come into God's family through His blood.
Acts 2:21
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
John 1:12 says, "As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God."
Jesus said in John 6:37, "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

Redemption belongs to 'whosoever' will call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is said all through the Bible.

God is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
We're redeemed from the curse of the Law.

We must refuse to carry the burden of sicknesses, diseases, pains and plagues because Jesus has already carried them for us.

By His stripes, we are healed!
Sins, sicknesses, diseases, pains and plagues belong in the devil's kingdom, but now we're citizens of the kingdom of light.
Jesus paid the price to redeem us from both sin and sickness.

He already carried it all for us! So He doesn't want us carrying the burden of our sicknesses, diseases, pains any more than He wants us carrying the burden of our sins.
Not only did He take on Himself our sin, but He bore our sicknesses, diseases, pains and plagues as well.

Just as we've known God doesn't want us to live in sin, we must know He doesn't want us to live in sickness, disease and pain either.
Some people think Jesus came to help us carry our burdens of sickness, disease, pains and plagues.

They don't realize what actually took place when He redeemed us from them.

They understand He took our sins to the cross and wiped us free from them. They even realize God doesn't want us to take the condemation for our sins; but they must also realize Jesus completed a full redemption for us.
When we received Jesus as our Savior, He freed us from the curse of the Lae.

Jesus took the curse on Himself as our substitute, and now we are redeemed from every sickness, disease, pain and plague and we walk in divine health!
Galatians 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, the Lord gives us the blessing of Abraham.

That blessing includes divine health.

We have been redeemed from the curse of every sickness, disease, pain and plague; even those not mentioned in the Law.
Deuteronomy 28:15-68 doesn't apply to God's children because Jesus took that curse upon Himself when He went to the cross.

That's the Good News!
Also every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, would be brought upon them.

But Galatians 3:13-14 tells us believers have been redeemed from the curse of the Law through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

That curse doesn't exist anymore for the believer!
The Lord told the children of Israel if they didn't obey Him, all the terrible curses listed in Deuteronomy 28 would come upon them.

Spiritual death is a part of the curse; so are poverty and every kind of sickness and disease.
Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, which is in Deuteronomy 28:15-68.
Jesus gave Himself as the sacrifice for our total redemption from the kingdom of darkness.

So we receive healing from the Father as freely as we receive salvation.
As believers, we must be sure to get the truth into our hearts that just as Jesus' blood was shed for us; just the same His body was broken for us.

Then we will not only be saved, but we will also be healed.
As we tell others that Jesus redeemed us from both sin and sickness, people will get saved and healed at the same time!
When we discover the truth that healing is in the Atonement, miracles will abound as we act on that revelation.
"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:24

Once we receive revelation of the redemption that Jesus purchased for us on the cross, it will change us.

This is not just a mental assent of the truth, it is a heart belief that says Yes, that's the truth and the truth is setting us free!
We are free from sin and all its effects....worry,
anxiety, fear, sickness, disease and pain.

God's inheritance blesses us....spirit, soul and body!
God's report says we were forgiven, delivered and healed.

Now by faith we can receive any of these covenant blessings.

They all belong to us because Jesus already paid the price.
Look at Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Jesus didn't only redeem us from our sins, He also redeemed us from torment and oppression so we could have peace.

He redeemed us from sickness so we could have health.
Jesus didn't do away with any blessings in the Old Testament.

He just added to them to create a newer and better covenant.
Many Christians have little or no understanding of what redemption really is.

It's not just redeeming us from sin. It's so much more than that!

We have been redeemed fom every single curse in the Old Testament. That included sicknesses and diseases.
Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood for us.

Through His death, burial and resurrection He forgave our sins, redeemed us, delivered us and made us partakers of His nature. His nature has no sickness or disease!

We receive all God's inheritance as our Father.
We need to start each day by praising and thanking God for delivering us. Then the devil must flee! There isn't a one that will stay around.

Thank God, we are free! Our God has already delivered us from the power of darkness. Sin, sickness and diseases have no control or power over us.

We must say it until we believe it and then it will come to pass.
Colossians 1:13
"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son."

When Jesus redeemed us, He delivered us from the power of darkness.

That means every Christian is already delivered, even though some are still running around trying to get delivered.
Jesus became our Savior and redeemed us.

With the price of His own blood He became the way for us to be joined to the Father God.

He took our spiritual death and our sicknesses and diseases so we could have His eternal life and health.
Hebrews 9:22
"Without the shedding of blood [there] is no remission"

Someone had to die for us. We deserved death, but Jesus took our death on Himself so we can walk in newness of life.
Romans 3:23
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

John 1:29
"We were the ones who sinned, we deserved to go to the place of judgment. BUT Jesus took our place. He is "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
The cross was a death for criminals.

If anyone belonged on that cross, it was me and you, not Jesus!
When Jesus finished His earthly ministry that God had given Him, He was 33 years old. He had only one thing left to do.

Jesus, the Son of God, had to die on the Cross. He who had never sinned, never made a mistake in His life, and never hurt anyone but only helped them, had to die to pay the price for us!
We are redeemed from Satan's control. Sickness no longer has legal power over us.

Divine health is a benefit of our Father's kingdom, and we walk in all the benefits Jesus purchased for us.
What we have to do is believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Lord.
Romans 10:9,10

At that moment, we're translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light....forever redeemed!

Psalm 37:7
God sent His only begotten Son to be our sacrifce.

Jesus took on flesh and walked sinless among us as "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" John 1:29

He shed His perfect, spotless blood on the cross, redeeming us from Satan's rule.
Silver and gold couldn't buy man back from sin.

Only one price was enough, which was the sinless, spotless blood of Jesus!
When Jesus shed His blood on the cross He redeemed us, which means "to purchase or buy back."

Jesus redeemed us with His own blood. When Adam sinned man fell into a state of spiritual death, or separation from God.

Along with sin came sickness, disease, poverty, fear and failure. Man was in the grip of sin under Satan's control, but God wanted to buy him back.
Jesus wants us saved and healthy, so He purchased our salvation and healing with His own death on the cross.

His body was broken for us; His blood was shed for us. We must receive the salvation and healing He has provided.
No one has the right to split the two parts of the Atonement.

Jesus paid the price for us spirit, soul and body.

The Atonement is forgiveness of sin and the healing for the physical body.

When the body of Christ gets a hold of that revelation, the sick will be healed, the weak will be strong and the healthy will stay well.
In the past, many in the body of Christ have tried to split the Atonement down the middle.

Then tried to separate the two halves.

They thank God that salvation is for anyone, at any time. They know the Lord isn't willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance in 2 Peter 3:9

Then say that healing is not for today or not for everyone or that God replaced healing with doctors. Isaiah 53:5 says " and with his stripes we are healed." 1 Peter 2:24
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
Jesus' life was proof of God's will.

We know God wants us well because Jesus healed all who came to Him and paid the price to make healing available to us.
Jesus didn't question who the sick people were or where they came from.

If forgiveness and healing belonged to all mankind, it had to be shown clearly that it was available to everyone.

So to everyone who came to Him in faith, Jesus gave a promissory not that He would pay later, on God's redemption plan.
Jesus didn't turn anyone down.

In Matthew 8:16
"When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick."

He healed all who came to Him for help!
Jesus knew sicknesses and diseases would be on His back in a short time, but He let His compassion flow out.

He wanted to prove to the world that redemption, freedom, peace and healing belonged to every person.
We must realize Jesus healed people before He ever went to the cross.

God provided forgiveness and healing as His redemptive plan at the cross. But Jesus provided it before that by giving the people part of it on a promissory note.

Every time He forgave and healed the crowds, He was saying "I will pay for it later."
We must believe Jesus shed His blood for our sins.

We must believe He bore stripes for our physical healing.

It's only by faith that we can take full advantage of the benefits He paid for us to have.
We must spend time in God's Word understanding and believing all that Jesus accomplished in the Atonement so we're able to take full advantage of what He purchased for us!
Faith can't operate if we don't understand or know the will of God.

The will of God can't be known if we have no knowledge.

The only part of the Atonement that will work for us is the part we understand and believe!
The Atonement is the most basic of all Christian truths, it the very heart of what we believe.

It isn't complicated theology or church doctrine. It's His death for our life.

If we don't understand and believe Jesus Christ shed His blood for our sins and raised again from the dead so we could be born again, His death won't do us any good.

If we don't understand and believe Jesus Christ bore stripes on His back for our physical healing, His broken body won't do us any good.

It all comes down to what we understand!
The Atonement is the redemptive work Jesus accomplished when He went to the Cross as our Substitute and paid the price for our sins with His blood.

He was also chastised for our peace and broken in His body for our physical healing.

Read Isaiah 53:5
Jesus' sacrifice was more than enough to save and heal us.

We have a brand new spirit and a healed body because of Him.
1 Peter 2:24
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

This is a New Testament picture of what Jesus did for us.

We need to fill our hearts with God's Word on healing and pray in faith to receive.

Then thank our Father for hearing us and granting our prayers before we ever see them come to pass.
Smith Wigglesworth said "if you pray for something seven times, the first six were in unbelief.

So meditate on the Scriptures that cover your case until your heart is filled with God's will.

Then lock onto your petition in faith and watch God deliver your answer."
We don't keep praying our same prayers over and over.

Why would we ask again, if we really believe that we have received when we prayed?

After we pray we are to praise and thank God for the answers until they manifests.
1 John 5:14
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

We pray in faith by believing we receive our answer at the very moment we pray; even in the midst of symptoms and circumstances.

Mark 11:24
"....What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye reeive them and ye shall have them."
The prayer of faith is how we take hold of our healing.

All prayers must be prayed in faith. Faith is the means in which we receive from heaven.
Our part is to pray according to God's will and to pray in faith.

God's Word is His will, and the Bible from cover to cover says that healing legally belongs to us!
If we pray in faith according to God's will, we can have whatever we ask for.

God Himself has promised He will hear us and answer us.
If we pray in faith according to God's will, we can have whatever we ask for.

God Himself has promised He will hear us and answer us.
Because of Jesus, we can walk in divine health, with all our needs met spirit, soul and body!
Now, through Jesus, we can come into the family of God fully restored.

Jesus restored us to all the benefits God originally planned for us!
Our day of atonement came.

Jesus became the sacrificial Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world [John 1:29].

The last Adam [Jesus] purchased back everything the first Adam lost.
Adam disobeyed God and chose a new god.

He lost all the blessings that had been his.

After that he and his descendants were plagued with sin, sickness and disease which are the fruits of the devil.
Adam enjoyed divine health and every need met before he sinned.

All he had to do was to obey God's command to stay away from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
The original state Adam had was health.

No sickness or disease existed in his body because no sickness or disease existed on earth.

God would have created man sick if He wanted him sick.
God has restored us to all Adam possessed before he sinned in the Garden.

We have fellowship with God, a sound mind and everything we need.
Because of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection we can be restored right back to our original position in God the very minute we're born again.

We're brought back into the fellowship that Adam lost. Adam also had supernatural intelligence and memory. That same capacity of supernatural intelligence is returned to us.

God wanted Adam well taken care of and He wants the same of us. He wants to meet all our needs spirit, soul and body.
Adam's blessings are restored to us!

Before the "Fall", he enjoyed a relationship and fellowship with God. Adam walked and talked with God in the cool of the day.
When we were born again, Jesus gave us back a relationship with our Father/God.

We are privileged to be called sons and daughters of God!
Adam was called the son of God [Luke 3:38].

But when he sinned in the Garden, he broke his relationship with God.

We return to that relationship. 1 John 3:1 says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God."

When we receive Jesus, He sets us free to become the sons of God!
The first Adam disobeyed God and got mankind into trouble.

The last Adam was Jesus Christ who made atonement for us when He died on the cross and God raised Him from the dead.

By laying down His life, Jesus helped us to return to the original possession that Adam had before the Fall [a relationship with God].
In 1 Corinthians 15:45, God make a comparison between the first Adam and the last Adam.

The first man Adam was made a living soul. The last man Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Jesus was our Scapegoat when He hung on the cross, taking the judgment and punishment we deserved so we could walk free from sin and sickness.

Now because of Jesus, we are free from sin when we repent and we are healed and whole.
The Old Testament gives us another picture of Redemption. It is the one of the scapegoat.

Israel had sinned and that sin had to be judged. But God didn't want them to suffer judgment. He wanted them to receive mercy. So He told them to find a spotless, perfect goat and have Aaron the priest lay hands on it and confess their sins over it.

The judgment belonging to them, fell on that scapegoat. God allowed the sins of the people to be transferred to the goat, and the goat bore them and carried them away.
Jesus took sin and sickness and gave us righteousness, health, and eternal life.

He paid for all these benefits and freely gives them to us when we ask in faith.
When we look to Jesus and receive Him as Savior, everything He did on the cross becomes ours.
When Jesus went to the cross,

He forgave our sins,
He purchased our healing
He delivered us from the power of darkness

Then He rose from the dead so we could be born again
and new creatures in Him.
Jesus gave us His right standing with God the Father and His divine health.
Jesus became our substitute.

He had never sinned, but He bacame our sin.

He was never sick, but He took our sicknesses.
When Jesus went to the cross, a divine exchange took place.

He became what we were and gave us what He is.

Jesus gave the answer in John 3:14 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up."

Jesus was saying that the serpent on the pole is a picture of Him on the cross.

When the Israelites were bitten by snakes,
they needed;
forgiveness for complaining,
deliverance from the snakes,
and healing for their wounds.

God gave them one answer, the serpent on the pole!

They were forgiven, delivered and healed by looking at an image of sin and sickness.
When symptoms of pain and sickness attack us, we look to Jesus.

He causes us to be victorious in every situation when we look to Him.
Healing was for the Israelites if they looked at the serpent on the pole.

Healing is for us today, if we look to Jesus on the cross.

Like them, we have to look attentively, expectantly, with a steady and absorbing gaze and fix our eyes on what Jesus did for us [theirs was the serpent on a pole].
God was telling the Israelites that they couldn't look at the biting snakes and the serpent on the pole at the same time.

We must choose whether to gaze at the problem or the answer.

BUT, if you want to live, you have to look to His answer!
The Israelites couldn't just take a quick glance. They had to look at it.

The Amplified Bible, God said, "If you want to live, you will have to attentively, expectantly and with a steady and absorbing gaze look to the answer."

Read Numbers 21:8
When the Israelites were bitten in the wilderness, God offered them LIFE for a LOOK!

They didn't automatically get healed. They had to look in order to get it!
We should behold Jesus and receive our forgiveness and healing every day.
When Moses held up the serpent on the pole, he showed a type of Jesus who would someday hang on the cross as the Atonement for the human race.

So when the Israelites looked ahead to what Jesus would do, they were forgiven and healed.

God didn't turn anyone down, Everyone that is bitten, when he looks will live."

We can look back in faith to the forgiveness and healing Jesus has purchased for us!
Ever since the Garden of Eden, a serpent has been a sign of sin/evil.

Jesus never sinned in His life. But when He hung on the Cross, He became sin for us.

At that moment, God had to turn His back on His Son because all the sins and sicknessess of the world were nailed to Jesus' body.

Judgment fell on Him instead of on us!
God told Moses to put a brass serpent on a pole and that whoever looked at the serpent would live.

The serpent is a type of Jesus Christ, and brass is a type of judgment.

The Israelites were looking at a type of redemption. A picture of the Atonement!
When we miss it, we run to our Father for forgiveness.

We must walk daily with Him as our Savior, Healer, Protector and Provider!
The Israelites went to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.

And Moses prayed for the people.

Isn't it amazing how quickly they got a revelation that they had sinned. One minute they were complaining about him and the next they are asking him to pray for them.

God not only forgave them but healed them also.
The Israelites got into trouble spiritually when they sinned.

When the snakes were able to get into the camp, they got into trouble physically also.
God had supernaturally protected His people and had kept the snakes out. But when they broke their covenant by rebelling and complaining it caused God's protection to withdraw. It was only then that they were bitten.
After the Israelites complained against Moses and God, serpents crawled into the camp and began biting them.

They were in the wilderness full of snakes. The miracle was that they hadn't been bitten until then.

Read Numbers 21
Even in trying situations, we must watch our words and refuse to speak doubt and unbelief.

And especially start murmuring and complaining about God and His Word!
No matter how long it might take for our healing to manifest, we can't let discouragement which is doubt get to us.

Remember, God has already provided healing so we must use our mouth to praise Him!
When the Israelites got discouraged, the first thing they did was open their mouths.

They got into big trouble by murmuring and complaining against Moses and God!

Some people, today, when they get discouraged, the first thing they do is open their mouths and murmer and complain. We must learn from the Israelites.
We must keep our eyes on Jesus and His Word.

He is greater than any problem or sickness that could ever come against us.
"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness...." 2 Peter 1:3

Everything God has, is and can do has been made available to us as we look to Him.
It's easy to find circumstances that will discourage us if we look at them.

Focusing on symptoms of sickness, disease and pain in our bodies can be very discouraging but we choose what we're going to look at.

We can set our eyes and attention on the circumstances we face or on our great God and His ability to take them from us!
Numbers 21:4 "..........and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses........".

They were just like the rest of us becoming discouraged when things got tough.
When the Israelites came out of bondage in Egypt, they headed toward the Promised Land.

The Promised Land isn't a type of heaven. It had giants to overcome and heaven doesn't.

It is a picture of the abundant life God has for us while we are here on earth.
1 Corinthians 10:11 "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."

This tells us that what happened to Israel was for our admonition.

We can learn a lot by looking at Israel, a type of the Church.
Our Father has delivered us, provided for us, and healed us, through the blood of Jesus.

No matter what we face, we must focus our spiritual eyes on our faithful God.
We need to encourage ourselves by realizing how much God has already done of us AND how much more He wants to do.

It's an instant cure for discouragement!
As the children of Israel were on their way to the Promise Land, they became discouraged because they were looking at the hardships of the journey.

Just think what they could've focused on. God had brought them out of Egypt with signs and wonders and miracles. That is what they should have been looking at.
Jesus is our Atonement.

His sacrifice gives us access to all of God's blessings.

We receive them by faith NOW!
When Aaron made atonement for the sin of the Israelites, they were not only forgiven, but the sick were healed. That is like the Atonement that Jesus made for us.

If healing was included in the atonement under the old covenant, how much more is healing included in the Atonement Jesus purchased for us!!!!
Numbers 16 also shows us our redemption.

Soon after the Israelites were delivered out of Egyptian bondage, they started to worship idols and murmur against the men of God in charge. This put them in dangerous territory.

A plague hit the multitude and more than 14,000 died.

Aaron, their priest, prepared incense to make atonement before they all died. He ran in among them to make the atonement and the plague stopped.
The Lamb of God made the way to abundantly supply all our needs, spirit, soul and body.

He provided healing for our physical bodies and peace for our souls.

We are to walk in the fullness of the redemption that Jesus purchased for us.
TL Osborn....healing miracles

The Passover brought freedom, healing and abundance for the Israelites.

Now we live under a new and better covenant established on better promises. (Hebrews 8:6)
If God willed healing and wealth for His people, the Israelites, in the old covenant; we can know without a doubt He wills healing and abundance for us in our new covenant through Jesus.
God provided physical health for the Israelites.

"There was not one feeble person among their tribes." He brought His people out of Egypt free and healthy.
The way Israel looked when they came out of Eqypt is the way we should look the minute we're born again.

Psalm 105:37 says, "He brought them forth also with silver and gold." They didn't take silver and gold out of Egypt because they were wealthy. They had been slaves for centuries. God was their source of sudden wealth.

The first thing He did when He brought them out of bondage was to abundantly meet their needs.
God showed us the new birth when He delivered Israel out of slavery in Egypt.

It was a picture of our coming out of Satan's bondage into new freedom in Jesus Christ.
Now we partake of the Lamb of God and go forth in newness of life, receiving healing as part of our redemption package.
When Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, he fell spirit, soul and body.

When God redeemed man, He redeemed him spirit, soul and body.

Jesus died to make us the way we were to be before the fall.
When the Israelites applied the blood of the lamb, it spared them from judgment and set them free from all bondage.
When the Israelites ate the lamb's flesh, they went out [left Egypt] healthy.

That's why the Passover lamb is a picture of our full redemption in Christ.
God gave Israel specific instructions about how to eat the Passover lamb.

He told them, "Put your belts on, put shoes on and be ready to go."

It's important to see that God didn't say, "have your crutches, stretchers and pills ready to go."

He wanted them to go and to go well. The Bible says that there wasn't one feeble person among them and there were millions leaving.
We know from Hebrews 9:22 that without the shedding of blood, there's no remission of sins.

The blood of the lamb was the sacrifice that allowed the Israelites to walk out of Egypt's bondage.

And it's the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus, that lets us walk free of every Satanic bondage, which includes sickness and disease.
Death struck the firstborn of every household in Egypt where the blood wasn't applied.

Where the blood was applied, death passed over. Judgment didn't fall on them, they went free.

In the same way, when Jesus' blood is applied to us as we make Him our Lord and Savior, final judgment passes over us and we enter eternal glory where no sickness and disease exists.

God was showing the Israelites [His people] His plan for redemption by looking ahead to the time when Jesus would come and shed His blood at Calvary.

God told them, "The blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt" Exodus 12:13.
God instructed the Israelites to put the blood of the lamb on the side posts and across the top of the door of their houses.

This made a type of the cross and was covered by the blood of the Passover Lamb that had been slain for their deliverance from Egypt.
Jesus took our sins and our sicknesses [diseases, infirmities etc] upon Himself.

He knew it was the only way we could be delivered from those bondages.

He died for each of us so we could receive all the benefits of salvation. We are saved, healed and delivered!
In Acts 2:23, Peter preached to the Jews that were there about who was responsible for Jesus' death: "Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:"

Jesus was condemned by the Romans and crucified by Israel, but He laid down His life willingly for all of us.
Jesus was the 'Lamb without blemish' because He never sinned,

He was the firstborn, 'a male of the first year',

He died at a particular time 'in the evening' the very hour Jesus died was the time when the Passover lambs were sacrificed,

'The whole assembly of the congregation of Israel killed Him.
When God gave the instructions for the Passover, they were about the lamb.

It was to be without blemish;
a male of the first year;
a sheep or a goat;
kept until 14th day of same month;
whole congregation of Israel shall kill it

Jesus fit all of these qualifications.
Because of the Lamb of God, Jesus, we are free from the devil's dominion.

We've been removed from the kingdom of darkness and placed into the kingdom of light.
The Passover lamb is like the new birth.

When Jesus, the Lamb of God, was slain on the cross, it opened the way for us to live free from Satan's bondage.

Now as soon as we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are redeemed, saved and set free.
The children of Israel did what God said.

The lamb was slain and the blood applied.

And when the atonement was made,
the people went free....not only spiritually
but physically also.
The children of Israel had been slaves in Egypt for hundreds of years.

God told them "Take a lamb - one for each family.
Kill the lamb and put the blood on the doorposts of their homes.
Roast the lamb and eat the flesh, then get out of Egypt."
Passover was started in the Old Testament.

If we can find out what Passover did for the people back then, we can find out what Jesus who is our Passover did for us in the New Testament.
In 1 Corinthians 5:7, Jesus is call our Passover.

"For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us."
Jesus is our Passover Lamb. His death provided a way for those who believe in Him to be saved, delivered and healed.

He opened the way for us to enter God's family and enjoy our interitance.
The miracle that made Israel free was with a lamb....what the Bible calls a Passover lamb.

What the Passover lamb accomplished for the children of Israel by its death is a picture of what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross.

That's why John the Baptist called Jesus the Lamb of God in John 1:29. And in Revelation 13:8, Jesus was called 'the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world' He is our Passover Lamb.
God's man Moses, is a picture of Jesus arriving on the scene with signs, wonders and miracles to deliver God's people.

Israel's deliverance out of Egyptian bondage into freedom is a type of the new birth.
Exodus 12 gives us a picture of what Jesus did for us in His death, burial and resurrection.

In the Old Testament, Egypt is a type of sin or bondage [where we lived before we were born again].

Pharaoh is a type of Satan.
Israel is a type of the Church
Moses is a type of Jesus
To walk in the fullness of God's blessings, we must know what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Our faith grows stronger as we receive greater revelation of our redemption!
When we look into the Gospels, we see what literally happened to Jesus on His way to the cross.

He was beaten..... His back was laid open with a whip.

He was spat upon, and a crown of thorns were smashed onto His head.

Then He hung and died on the cross. Taking the sins and sicknesses of the world upon Himself.
Jesus' work on the Cross is available to anyone and everyone who believes.

We need to learn what Jesus accomplished so we can walk in what belongs to us.

If physical healing was a part of what Jesus died for, then we can expect healing to be our spiritual inheritance.
God redeemed the world to Himself through Jesus' work on the Cross.

That's why John the Baptist referred to Jesus as 'the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world' John 1:29
We are new creatures in Christ.

The old sin nature has been removed and holds no more power over us.

Now we can live free from sin and sickness.
It wouldn't have been enough just to forgive our sins; our nature would still be the same, and we'd still continue sinning.

God sent Jesus to deliver us from the power of sin and all its effects. And that includes sickness!

Jesus died to pay for our sins, and He was raised from the dead to deliver us from sin and sickness.
Our sins are not only forgiven, they are totally removed [washed away] as though they had never happened..

God not only delivers us from our sins, He also delivers us from the power sin once held over us.
When Jesus shed His blood, it was for the forgiveness of our sins. His resurrection from the dead made the new birth available to us.

We can now receive Jesus as our Savior and become a new creature on the inside.

Our new recreated spirits are filled with the nature of God.
Romans 4:25 Jesus "Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification."

He shed His blood not just for our forgiveness only. He was delivered unto death for payment of our sins. Then He was raised again for our justification so we could live in right standing with God.
Millions of people believe Jesus died on the Cross.

Not everyone believes He was raised from the dead.

Very few, even Christians. know what He actually accomplished.
God's foundational principles haven't changed.

Believers still lay hands on the sick and they still recover.

He's still the God who heals today!
God's Word will change what we see and feel if we continue to believe. That is to say, think and act as though it is done.
As Christians, we are supposed to believe we receive our healing before we see or feel it because we believe the Word.

Then we are to say...."I believe I'm healed by the stripes of Jesus." and keep saying it until the
power of God is manifested in our bodies.
The minute we release our faith, the power of Jesus Christ begins to flow into our bodies, whether we feel it or not.

God's healing power begins to work in our bodies the very minute we believe.

The only way to stop it is to act, think and talk as if nothing happened.
We know that faith operates on the known will of God.

So we must look into the Word of God to find the Will of God.

When we locate His Will...."by His stripes we are healed" 1 Peter 2:24, then we can base our healing on His Word and stand until it manifests.
The minute we ask for healing, no matter which method of prayer we use, that is the time we are to believe that we receive it.

We may not feel like it or see it, but we still believe we have received our answer.

Our confession should be "No, but that doesn't make any difference because I believe I've received it!" And then stand firm!
One way of receiving healing is Mark 11:24. "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

Another way of healing is Mark 16:17,18. "In my name.....they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

And there is also the anointing with oil, which usually goes along with the laying on of hands found in the Book of James.
Jesus was the will of God in action.

He constantly showed people that God wanted them healed.

"Thank God, I believe I receive my healing. I'm healed by the stripes of Jesus"
We are to tell sick people that God wants to heal them.

Then lay hands on them and watch healing come to pass in their lives.

We are to gladly tell other the good news that Jesus delivered them from sin and sickness, lay hands on them and watch them recover.
God didn't say that healing was a sign that followed only apostles and prophets.

It's very clear that He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe."
We should be interested in learning how to operate in faith so that we can take hold of our healing.

We should also be interested in learning how to minister healing to sick people, so they too can be healed.

God has been trying to get this across to the church for ages.
Jesus didn't tell us to fast and pray to see who He would choose to heal.

He told us to preach the gospel to them and then "lay hands on the sick and they shall recover"!

This is a sign that He said would follow all believers.
Knowing that our God wants us well, we are to believe and receive healing.

And when we lay hands on the sick, they are to recover.
God offers us all that salvation covers.

He says, "Whosoever will, let him come."

He wants every creature to hear the Gospel and He wants every creature healed!
Jesus tells us God wants every person saved, healed and delivered.

God doesn't want anyone left out, but He won't force His blessings on anyone either.

He is a gentleman, and He only leads as we yield to Him.
Just by the fact that healing the sick was the last thing Jesus shared with His disciples while he was on earth, we know how important it is.
God wants ALL healed!

If God didn't want every sick person healed, Jesus wouldn't have told us to lay hands on them so they could be healed.
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
Mark 16:15,17-18
Jesus paid the price so we could be saved and healed!

Therefore, we live free from sickness! We are healed!
We are well! We are whole!
When we study what the Bible says about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we will come to the conclusion [an unshakable confidence] that
we are as healed as we are saved.
God wants us to have both salvation and healing, and we receive both the same way, by faith!
Healing isn't more important, but God wants us to know it's equally as important as salvation.
Jesus bore stripes on His back before He was hung on the Cross, which means He paid the price for our physical health before He paid the price for our new birth.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Healing is revealed in verse 4
and salvation in verse 5

Does that mean healing is more important? NO, but God knew the body of Christ would have more trouble believing for healing; so perhaps that's why He put it first.
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your BODY and in your SPIRIT, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20

Sickness doesn't glorify God!
When we receive Jesus as Savior, He becomes our healer also.

He bore our sicknesses and pains so we wouldn't have to.
'By His stripes, we are healed' Notice already ARE!
Healing didn't come later, it came at the same time.
Forgiveness of sins and healing go together: Jesus shed His blood for the remission of sins, and His body was broken [lashed] for us so we could enjoy both forgiveness and health.

He provided both at once and no place in the Bible does it tell us to separate these two parts of the Atonement.

Healing belongs to us just as much as salvation!
Psalm 103:1-3
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

When we call on Jesus to be our Savior, He also becomes our Healer.

It's by faith that we receive both salvation which also means healing. Jesus bought and paid for them together for us on the Cross.
Isaiah 53:5 says Jesus...
"was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Jesus already took sickness from us. We have as much right to be healed as we do to be saved.

Unfortunately, many believe He left us with our sicknesses, intending to decide on an individual basis who should be healed.

They believe salvation belongs to everyone, but that a person can never know who God will heal. They don't understand that healing is a part of the atonement.
Jesus Christ came and took our place by dying on the Cross for us.

Most people don't have a problem believing He bore our sins so we can be free from sin.

But they do have a problem believing He bore our sicknesses so that we can be free from sickness.
After Adam fell, man inherited a load he couldn't carry. A load of death, sin, and sickness.

The old covenant provided man's sins to be covered for a year at a time by the shedding of animals blood. The animal sacrifices also provided man with bodily healing. But these sacrifices were only temporary, they could only cover sin, not

wash them away.
God sent His Word to heal us. His Word is life and medicine to all our flesh. We hear His Word and obey it and then delivered from sickness and disease.
Walking by faith doesn't come by leaving our Bible on the table until it's time to take it to church. Faith comes as we get into God's Word by reading it.
......................................................
It builds up in our spirits as we hear it from the preacher, from recordings and especially if we hear it out of our own mouths.
Sometimes we just want to go to a service and miraculously receive healing; we're not interested in hearing.
..........................................
And sometimes God does manifest Himself and we get a miracle.
.........................................
But most of the time, we have to take time to hear before we are healed.
When we need healing, the best thing we can do is to hear and hear and hear and hear.
........................................
We need to keep God's Word going into our ears every way we can. We need to keep hearing what God says about our healing.
When we go through the Gospels, we will find that in most cases hearing cames before healing.
.............................................................
If it worked that way in Jesus' ministry, it works that way now.

Good Friday 2011
God sent His Word to heal us. He gave us Jesus and sixty-six books of His words in the Bible. As we hear the Word, it starts working inside us to make us completely healed and whole.
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." Psalm 107:20
We must set our faith to receive all Jesus purchased for us. ....................................................................
Healing is one of the benefits provided for us and we must believe and we must receive it now.
Notice, it wasn't just the fact that the people believed, it was what they believed that brought their miracles. ....................................................................................................................................................... They set their own limits, and Jesus met them there. He will do the same for us!

Remembering the atonement

of healing.....
