It is when we realize that our redemptionfrom sickness and disease was actuallyaccomplished in the body of Jesus on thecross and by believing and receiving whatGod has declared in His written word; thatthen the Holy Spirit gives us the personal experience of Him as our Physician.
Jesus has declared, concerning sin, sorrowand physical misery of Adam's race "It isfinished"; and has offered each of us thegift of the Holy Spirit to help us to have andenjoy the salvation He has purchased of us!
Let us put away our sicknesses by faith, justas we put away our sins.Once we become aware of a sin, we will nottolerate it in our lives. We confess it and letit go, even when the devil tries to tell us weare not forgiven. We must do the same thing with sickness.
The Lord's compassion should be our basisfor faith. Since Christ has redeemed us from sickness, surely we can trust His love and faithfulness.
There is only one way to resist the devil; andthat is to steadfastly believe and act upon theWord of God.Act like you are well, no matter how it feels!
Every time the devil tempted Jesus, Heanswered "It is written" and quoted theverse or portion of the Word to him.Always tell people what the Word of Godsays and not what the devil says.
James 5:14 "The Lord shall raise him up".also in this verse, "in the Name of the Lord"means the same as if the Lord Himself hasanointed you.Expect Him to honor His own promise!
God's Word plainly says, "They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover,"After you have been anointed for healing,Satan tells you that you will not recover,be like Jesus and say to him, It is written,I shall recover!
Real faith rejoices in the promise of God asif it saw the healing manifested and wasenjoying it!
2 Corinthians 4:10-11 "Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus (which was for our victory), that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh." Bodily Health!!!
Praise God because it is a good thing to givethanks unto the Lord.Praise Him because to withhold praise willshow either unbelief or ingratitude.Praise Him because He inhabits the praisesof His people
"By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrificeof praise to God continually, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.""Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me.""Because Thy loving kindness is better thanlife, my lips shall praise thee."
"Also a multitude gathered from the sur-rounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed." Acts 5:16Even after Jesus had been crucified, rose back to life again, and ascended into heaven, we see the very same work that Jesus per-formed, while on the earth, still taking place through the hands of His disciples, and with the very same intensity - all being healed. And why not? Hebrews 13:8 tells us that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!"
Since everything that hath breath is commandedto praise the Lord, the only excuse for not prais-ing Him is to be dead (no breath).
Praise God because faith without works is dead.In everything give thanks, for this is the will ofGod concerning you.""I will praise the Lord at all times, His praiseshall continually be in my mouth."
Every sick Christian, while he is sick, has athousand times more to be happy about thanthe most cheerful sinner who is in perfect health!
"Let not your heart be troubled." "In nothingbe anxious (or distracted), but with thanks-giving let your requests be made knownunto God." "Casting all your care upon Him,for he careth for you."
"Let everything that hath breath praise theLord." While we are still sick, we are to praise Him,because we are going to recover according toHis promise.Even a sick person has breath.
Instead of listening to the devil, make him listen to you praise God for His promises!
